Taxis are the best and fastest way to get from Tunis airport to the Tunis city center.

Unfortunately, taxis from Tunis airport are often overpriced and drivers won’t negotiate with you even if you know that the rates should be lower.

To solve this problem, don’t bother trying to find a taxi outside of the arrivals hall at Tunis airport.

Instead, go upstairs to the departures area and wait for a taxi that is bringing someone from the Tunis city center to the airport. It won’t take long.

City taxis are metered and will cost far less than an airport taxi.

Even if the driver won’t use the meter, you can still negotiate a better price than you will get from the taxis at the arrivals level of the Tunis airport.

Taxis from Tunis airport to the Tunis city center should cost no more than 3 dinars during the day and 5 at night.
