Shira Route for Kilimanjaro
The Shira Route for Kilimanjaro is an 8 day climb and goes through some of the most beautiful scenery on Kilimanjaro.
The route leads up to the Shira Plateau and the Shira Needle, as well as Barafu hut, Stella Point and Uhuru Point. There are several steep climbs on the way to the top of Kilimanjaro on the Shira Route.
The Shira Route for Kilimanjaro is partly accessible by vehicle during the dry months, but driving is not the best way to see Mount Kilimanjaro and may interfere with your acclimatization process.
