All flights from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar take off from Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), which is the large international airport in the capital. They land on Unguja island in Zanzibar. The airport there is called Kisauni Airport, or Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ). ZNZ airport is near Stone Town, which is the main city in the island archipelago.
The airlines that operate on this route vary in quality. Some are better known than others for having prompt departures and arrivals and for treating passengers well. As such, it is a good idea to choose wisely when flying to Zanzibar.

Some flights are direct, while others require a layover in Dar es Salaam. All flights from Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar take off from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). They land at Kisauni Airport on Unguja island, which is also named Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ). Kisauni Airport is situated just south of Stone Town, the biggest and most well-known town in the archipelago.
The flight time on this route is 1 hour and 10 minutes on direct flights, making the trip quick and simple. Flight prices vary, but you can expect to pay around US$200 for a one-way ticket and US$325 for a round-trip ticket.
