Beware of the Tanzania airport tax.

When departing Tanzania airports an airport tax applies.

An airport tax of $30 USD applies to all international flights.

An airport tax of 5,000 TSH applies to all domestic flights.

If the Tanzania airport tax is not included in the price of your ticket, the airport tax must be paid in cash at the airport before departure.

NB: Make sure to bring USD or TSH with you to the airport, as airport exchange rates are notoriously bad.
