Lake Victoria, Tanzania

Lake Victoria in Tanzania is one of Africa’s Great Lakes.

Measuring 26,560 sq/mi, Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and the second largest freshwater lake in the world.

The lake is shared by Tanzania, Uganda, and Kenya.

Lake Victoria ferries run from Kisumu, Mwanza, Bukoba, Entebbe, Port Bell and Jinja to connect people in all three countries.

Tourism around Lake Victoria in Tanzania is scarce, but worth the visit for those feeling adventurous.

Rubondo Island National Park is a beautiful place to visit, and Lake Victoria’s many islands make great sights.

Accommodation at Lake Victoria in Tanzania is scarce so don’t expect to find any high-end hotels or resorts.
