There are several airlines that offer flights from Mombasa to Zanzibar. Some are regional East African airlines, some are Kenyan low-cost airlines, and others are larger European airlines.
The list of airlines that fly from Mombasa to Zanzibar includes Condor, which flies from Frankfurt to Zanzibar via Mombasa, Fly540, a budget airline that offers cheap flights to Zanzibar, as well as Jetairfly, Precision Air, and ZanAir.

On the other hand, Precision Air is not a very good airline. It has a habit of overbooking its flights and rebooking people on later flights. All flights from Mombasa to Zanzibar take off from Mombasa’s Moi International Airport (MBA). They land at Kisauni Airport in Tanzania, which is also named Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ). The Zanzibar airport is on the island of Unguja and is located just south of Stone Town.

All flights that travel on this route depart from Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) and arrive at Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ), which is also called Kisauni Airport. The airport is located on Unguja Island several miles south of Stone Town.
Flights from Nairobi to Zanzibar are operated by a number of different airlines. These include both large international airlines and smaller regional ones, including Air Uganda, Fly540, Kenya Airways, and Precision Air.
Some airlines that offer flights from Nairobi to Zanzibar are more reliable than others. Fly540 is generally one of the better airlines and offers good prices compared to the others. Precision Air is one of the worst. It is notorious for overbooking flights and bumping passengers to later flights without notifying them. Avoid it if you can.

Fly 540, Air Kenya, and Kenya Airways offer flights that depart from either Wilson Airport (WIL) or the domestic terminal at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi. All flights land at the small airport in Malindi (MYD).
The total travel time on flights from the Kenyan capital to Malindi is 1 hour.
The planes that are used on flights from Nairobi to Malindi are small propeller planes that do not have a lot of space in the overhead bins. As such, if you do not want to check a bag at the desk or plane-side, make sure to bring only a small carry-on.
