Karen Blixen Museum in Nairobi

The Karen Blixen Museum in Nairobi is a popular destination for people visiting Kenya.

Located in the leafy neighborhood of Karen about 10km from the Nairobi city center, the Karen Blixen Museum is the former home of the Danish expat writer who ran a coffee plantation in Nairobi from 1914-1931.

Karen Blixen’s wooden house is open for guided tours.

The tour circuit includes the bedrooms, library, living room, dining room, and separate kitchen.

There is a gift shop on the premises that sells Karen Blixen memorabilia and other souvenirs

Admission price for the Karen Blixen House Museum in Nairobi is 200 shillings.
