Masai Mara, Kenya

Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve (also called Maasai Mara Game Reserve) is one of the world’s most popular African safari destinations.

The Masai Mara is known for its vast land and numerous animal populations, including lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants, zebras, deer, wildebeests, rhinos, hippos, and crocodiles.

The best time of year for a safari in the Masai Mara is from July to September, when the annual wildebeest migration takes place.

There are many different tour companies that offer Masai Mara safaris, as well as safari lodges that range from basic camps to luxury retreats with all the amenities.

To get to the Masai Mara, you can take a flight on a small plane from Wilson airport in central Nairobi.

Safari flights stop at several airstrips in the Masai Mara, at which point your safari lodge can arrange a pickup.
